Welcome to the world of Radio Control. This site was developed for the novice entering RC as well as the seasoned veterans. Here you will find extensive information and instruction to make your first RC experience a fun investment. When starting out in Radio Control, keep in mind that your first choices in the equipment that you purchase is going to leave the biggest first impression of the hobby, so read on and pick wisely.

RC Helicopters

Several basic designs of RC helicopters exist, of which some (such as those with collective pitch, meaning blades which rotate on their longitudinal axis to vary or reverse lift) are more maneuverable than others and ultimatly harder to fly. A recent innovation is that of coaxial electric helicopters. The system's inherent stability has, in recent years, made it a good candidate for the design of small models for beginner and/or indoor use. Models of this type, as in the case of a full-scale helicopter, eliminate rotational torque and extremely quick control response making it an ideal model for the biginner. Again I would recommend a flight simulator as it will inevitably save you money in the long run, plus it can be a lot of fun for you and the family. I recommend Real Flight Basic Simulator by Great Planes. You can check it out Here and read the Reveiws.

Blade Electric
When searching for a beginner helicoptor, I recommend a coaxial type to start with and work your way up into a full blown variable pitch helicopter if your interest and budget will allow it. Todays small electric helicopters are fairly durable and easy to fly. Your budget should be between $100-$250 for a beginner helicopter, don`t waist your time and money on anything under $100, they are actually harder to fly and when they break they are scrape. I recommend the Blade CX2 RTF Electric Coaxial Micro Helicopter by E-Flite, it`s great for beginners and parts are very accessible. Check it out Here and read the Reveiws.

Walkera Electric Chopper
An easy transition from a first time flyer to getting more advanced. Durable, strong and easy to control after a few runs. Parts are readily available and this is a good unit with an excellent remote. Stable control in the air even with a partial wind!! Don't let people put this copter down, it is very good all around. This chopper is well worth the money and will hold up to the punishment of making the transition from co-axial heilicopters. Check it out here and read the reviews.

50 Class Nitro Chopper
.50 Class Nitro R/C Helicopter kit. The Turbulence D3 based .50 SDX’s maneuverability, stability and performance will make pilots think they’re flying something really special. The .50 size SDX can be minutely adjusted for a wide range of performance levels, from beginner to 3D or F3C expert. Not another upgrade, this "from-the-ground-up" design contains the new FZ-5 Rotor Head that's based on the SSZ-4 used in the Turbulence D3. The new design 90/120/135 swash plate allows about 60 percent more aileron/elevator movement and eliminates interaction when difficult 3D maneuvers are flown.Check it out and read the reviews here.

Walkera 15 size Nitro Chopper
The Walkera 83# is a very speical Nitro Helicopter, it is using a 15 class nitro engine, which is a relatively small (but very powerful), and the total length is longer than a 450 class Electric Heli, but smaller than a 500 class Electric Heli, which makes it the smallest size in Nitro Helis. Walkera Factory did a good job on developing this 83# Nitro Helicopter, they want to make it a Ready To Fly package, they put everything useful on the helicopter, such as a battery indicator, a good quality Gyro + Rudder Servo, 3 X High Speed Metal Gear cylic servos, External Ignition Coil for easy access, Engine Fan, 4.8V Ni-MH Battery Packa and Charger..... etc, bascially you just need to buy your own Starter and fuel up the tank, and you're ready to fly this Walkera 83# Nitro Helicopter Simply, the battery pack for 500 class helicopter is expensive, and Li-Po battery needs to be taken good care of, or they will fade very quickly.
